Josh Brolin Returns to Horror in ‘Weapons’, Now on JioHotstar

Josh Brolin returns to the horror genre in Weapons, which is now streaming on JioHotstar. Directed by Zach Cregger, the film was a major success in 2025. It also stars Julia Garner.
The film tells the story of the town of Maybrook, where 17 children disappeared on a Wednesday morning. The children ran into the night and never returned. Brolin plays a pivotal role in the film, which explores the mystery of the disappearances.
Julia Garner plays the teacher who becomes a suspect in the investigation. Her performance is a standout, as is Brolin’s. The cast also includes Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.
The film was acquired by New Line Cinema for $38 million after a bidding war. The studio beat out Universal for the rights. The film went on to gross $269.1 million worldwide.
JioHotstar’s release brings the film to a wider audience in India. The platform promoted the release on social media, inviting viewers to watch the film. Weapons is now available for streaming.
